Public transport from Schiphol Airport
&B Vondelstraat is only a tram ride away from the Amsterdam central train station – the tram stop is just around the corner.
Take the train to Amsterdam Central Station. Change to tram number 1 and get off at Overtoom/Eerste Constantijn Huygensstraat (the first stop after Leidseplein). Facing the same direction the tram is going, take the first street to your left (Tweede Constantijn Huygensstraat) and walk towards the church tower. The house is directly opposite the church. Ring the door bell at the basement door.
If travelling by car, take exit S106 (Osdorp/Oud-West) on the Amsterdam ring road (A10) and follow the signs Oud-West/Centre. Take a right near the end of Overtoom (a shop called Cocomat on the corner), and take the first right (Vondelstraat). Number 108 is opposite the church.
Although you may well find a parking space close to the B&B, it is very expensive (€ 3 an hour from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. – € 27 for 24 hours), except on Sundays (no parking fee). A cheaper option would be parking your car at one of the Park and Ride facilities. See www.iamsterdam.com for more information.
